When people were telling me about Big Sky restaurants, no one mentioned The Corral. I'm not sure why! I didn't have any bad meals in Big Sky, but I felt like this one was a hidden gem. Right on highway 191 headed south towards West Yellowstone. Lunch was great! Good food, super friendly service. Staffed, I came to find out with several "Southerners"! This was a fun surprise which made for good conversation with the employees. I had the TBS (turkey, bacon, Swiss) sandwich with the house made chips, and I devoured it. It hit the spot. If my flight out the next morning had not been so early, I'd have hit The Corral for breakfast as well. I have a feeling that they do a great breakfast! This place was certainly a dive, and personally I feel like these are the best finds! If you're in the area stop and have a meal here.

I visited this place tonight after I read many good reviews from Yelp while I stay in Big Sky, MT and visit Yellowstone National Park for a week. My father and I ordered pork chop but both mine and my dad's pork chops were not cooked all the way. They might as well served it raw. My mother ordered shrimp scampi and bowtie pasta was cold. This was terrible experience and I will never return here again. Do not waste your time and money. Go somewhere else.

Super nice and cozy place. Good food, even the salad bar was impressive for this sports-bar type place. We had dinner twice within a week since we were in the area for a conference meeting. The servers were superb! Both friendly, helpful, smiley and extremely patient with us --Big international groups dining together could be a little more difficult than usual-- I tried their burgers and the fish which come from a river just around the area. You are golden if you can get a chance to sit outside and watch the sunset while enjoying your dinner. Don't miss this place if you are in the area. You will leave with a happy smile on your face!

After working long days at Elkhorn Ranch right down the road, there was nothing better then saddling up to the bar at the old Corral, ordering a burger and a local beer from the greatest of bar tenders, and relaxing in the magic that is The Corral. As for the food, get a burger. as for the beer and whiskey, drink it. This is a no frills, all thrills type of joint. hard working locals, visitors at times, and similar faces can be found inside at any hour of the day or night. A pool table, dim lit, western bar, friendly faces, a damn good buffalo burger, and good prices. There is nothing not to like about the atmosphere, and nothing like it for miles and miles. Nothing can be or will ever be The Corral. So get yourself a Coors Light and a burger and enjoy all the stories from the regulars.

Great food. Family friendly bar with great steaks and great atmosphere. Been going here for years and am glad to stop in while visiting, now that I no longer live here. Locals love it. Great for after a day of fishing or skiing.

Holy Crap! The best restaurant in the area. Burgers to die for. And mud pie!

The Corral "Steak House" (I'd call it more of a family-friendly saloon) is a gem, from top to bottom. Taxidermy covers every wall, and some of the ceiling, most of it adorned with random accessories. TV's all around show sports games. It's like a sports bar done Montana-style. Family friendly, too, with lots of kids here the night we stopped in. They were packed and understaffed on the New Year's day holiday (Hwy 191 closure kept Bozeman employees from making it into work and filled every table with people waiting for the road to reopen), and yet we had beer in under 10 minutes and delicious food in 20 - impressive. Perfect place to refuel after an epic day of skiing. Grab a frosty Montana microbrew and a hefty, mouth-watering Buffalo Burger with sweet potato fries, all for under $20 with tip - does it get any better?!

Hunter's breakfast is a tradition but keep in mind they only serve on Fridays and Saturdays now. Definitely my favorite place for breakfast in Big Sky.

We stopped here on vacation for a late lunch and thought it was really good. Friendly staff, good food and nice casual atmosphere. We had the Coral buffalo burger and the fish & chips. Everything was really tasty and fresh. Definitely glad we stopped!!!!

Burgers in Big Sky! Man, after moving from Montana to Boston I sure do enjoy getting to get some low key good food and a pint of moose drool! Side note: they don't make the poppers...they're fresh out of the frozen back so don't bother.

I did not have a steak, but I did have chicken and others had fish. It was the best place to eat with a big group. I had many moments feeling happy to know I was actually eating in Montana. The service was fantastic and although the Halibut sandwich was not so good, the ambiance and home town service made the evening. I can't wait to go back during ski season, I'm sure it will taste even better!

This place looks like a saloon from outside but has tasty burgers and great MT brewed beers. Ask if you can get your beer in the boot; drink it all and you get to take it home (remember Bobby McGees?). We had a group of 14 with 6 kids under 12, and we walked away happy. We had great service with a waitress who's other job is as a horse wrangler. Can't get any more Montana than that.

Food was ok here. Nothing special comparing it to a tier 3 city i'm used to. Mac cheese wedges were ok, not special. Customer service was something i could do without. Coming from a big City I expect Non sarcastic customer service. Not someone embellishing how busy she is.

Best Bloody Mary and Pot Roast you will ever have. I ate the entire roast and licked the ice cubes.

We drove past it first thinking a "steak house" would look like a "steak house" - but it doesnt - it says BAR out front - and while it's that too, the food was great. Dont miss the fried mac-n-cheese wedges or a hand cut steak. The service was also top notch - thanks, Katie! We had the pleasure of meeting Devin White the owner - who is also not to be missed!

As local as local gets. Luckily this place, which is a bit off the beaten track for Big Sky was recommended to me as a good place to go if we wanted something really local. This isn't a type of place where you need a reservation and everything about it screams low key. However, the food was great. I had a burger and also got the salad bar which was pretty decent too. The burger was good exactly as ordered, as was my brother's steak, medium rare. My dad ordered the chicken parmasean which I was a little apprehensive about, given that the menu was mainly steak and burgers. However, he enjoyed it and said it was good! The waitress was attentive and nice and extremely perky. When 3 of us were drinking diet coke, she gave us a pitcher of it, which was nice. We also had a slice of homemade blackberry pie which was nothing to rave about. It wasn't crispy enough! *I'd recommend the sweet potato fries over the regular ones! We had both and the sweet potato were MUCH better!

Loved this place! It was recommended to us by a family that lived in Montana. I'm from Tennessee so I had no clue where to eat! Corral has the best burgers that I've had in a long time. 5 starts across the board. Prices were very reasonable. Sit wherever you want. Food came very fast I can't wait to go back!

We were looking for a low key place for steak and relaxation. We got both here. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was perfectly cooked and the only thing sweeter than the blackberry pie and huckleberry ice cream was the waitress, Allie. She's cute as a button and made the meal even more enjoyable.

Great burger and fries. Delicious homemade pie and creamy ice cream! The food came quickly and the waitress was good too.

Just ok. Good chicken fried steak but 1/3 of filet unedible. Good service and fun atmosphere.

I'd never eat here again. The food was extremely overpriced and low quality. It's a local watering hole so you'll feel out of place, good luck finding it because the sign is lit up by a candle. Don't waste your time.

On my recent stay in Big Sky, I went to the Corral a couple times. The breakfast was great and the dinner was good. The rustic vibe is complimented by the friendly and semi-sassy waitresses. For my breakfast, I had a Corral Omelette (Ham, Cheese, Green pepper, Onions, Mushrooms & Tomatoes) with rye toast and hash browns, and I also went with a side of French Toast. This was too much food for one person and my dining companion could not help me out as he was struggling with his own huge breakfast, plus a side of hotcakes. The Omelette was practically hanging over both sides of a large plate. The flavors were solid. The French Toast was well made and not overly fussy. I would definitely recommend this as a breakfast destination.
